Michael leads the corporate finance and treasury functions of QR Energy. He also manages the Partnership’s banking relationships and plays a central role in M&A transactions and capital markets activities.

 

Prior to joining Quantum in 2011, Michael served as a Vice President at Aurora Capital Group, an investment firm based in Los Angeles, CA. While at Aurora, Michael participated in the sourcing, execution, and monitoring of private equity investments. Michael was previously an Associate at First Reserve Corporation, a leading private equity firm specializing in the energy industry, where he focused on investments mainly in the upstream oil & gas and power services sectors. Michael began his career as an investment banking analyst at Bank of America and Morgan Stanley, where he worked primarily on leveraged finance transactions involving financial sponsors. He holds a B.S.B.A. from Creighton University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
