Steve serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Conflicts and Compensation Committees on QR Energy’s Board of Directors. He was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Plains Exploration & Production Company from 2002 until he retired from that position in 2006. He also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Plains Resources, Inc.

 

Prior to joining Plains, Steve was Senior Vice President – Finance & Corporate Development of Ocean Energy, Inc. and Vice President – Finance of Seagull Energy Company. Prior to Seagull, he was a Managing Director at Chase Securities and the Chase Manhattan Bank. Steve serves on the Boards of Directors of KMG Chemicals, Inc. and EQT Corporation.

 

Steve holds a B.B.A. from the University of Texas and an M.B.A. from Rice University.
