Senior Vice President of Western Business Unit

Pat is Senior Vice President of Western Business Unit for QR Energy. He is responsible for managing the company’s effort to maximize asset value. Prior to joining QR Energy in early 2012, Pat served as a Managing Director at Scotia Waterous, the oil and gas arm of Scotiabank, where he managed the firm’s U.S. technical team and provided technical leadership for mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.

Before joining Scotia, Pat was Vice President of Gulf of Mexico for Devon Energy and played a lead role in the company’s $4 billion divestiture of those assets in 2010. In addition, he served as Manager of International Exploitation and Manager of Acquisitions & Divestitures in his ten years with Devon and Ocean Energy, Inc. Prior to Ocean, Pat was a Senior Vice President and led the Houston office of a petroleum consulting firm. He began his career as a Project Engineer with Exxon Company, U.S.A.

Pat holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Missouri-Rolla.
